Chars Life and Times

Well tis the season called Christmas in only about a week and a half. Most people who celebrate Christmas put up a Christmas tree. We used to when my son was growing up. It would be so fun for him to wake us up on Christmas morning and want to go see what Santa left him. He would rifle through all the presents, wrapping paper everywhere, clothes thrown one way, the more interesting toys checked out thoroughly.

Now that he is 26 years old and not living here, the Christmas tree hasn’t been put up in about four years. When he can make it to the house, we gather all around and exchange gifts. Most of the time they aren’t wrapped, they are just stuffed in a sack. My husband and I usually know what we get each other anyway, so it doesn’t really matter. My son usually gets cash from us, because that is what he wants so he can spend it on whatever he wants. The only surprise is what he gives us.

Do you put up a Christmas tree every year?
