Essential Information About Medicare
Medicare provides health and financial security for people 65 years of age and older and for those who are under the age of 65 with Lou Gehrig’s disease, end-stage renal illness or if they have a permanent disability. Back in 1965, roughly 50% of senior citizens did not have medical insurance and these days, almost all seniors are covered by Medicare.
Even hospital stays, doctor visits and prescription drug costs are some of the items that Medicare pays for part of. People contribute money through tax deductions from their paychecks to Medicare all through their years of working and then generally become eligible for Medicare when they become 65, no matter what their health or wealth is. Medicare is an incredible benefit to people that are eligible.
